5). Why Use CFX_AIM_JAVA?

If you have decided to do business with Authorize.Net, you have to make a choice between using either AIM or SIM. AIM uses a secured, encrypted connection. SIM sends data in clear text (unencrypted). CFX_AIM_JAVA is:

Easy to Install and Use - To install the CFX_AIM_JAVA tag simply copy it to the \Cfusion\CFX directory and register it using the ColdFusion Administrator. Complete installation instructions are provided in the Installation and User Guide. A sample ColdFusion program is provided that demonstrates use of the tag.

Reliable - Programmed into the CFX_AIM_JAVA tag are the rules used to validate the data being sent to Authorize.Net. CFXWorks programmed these rules into the tag to reduce the error rate and processing costs incurred both by Authorize.Net and the merchant. When the rules are violated, the tag returns an error code that allows the ColdFusion programmer to either correct the problem or return an error message to the user. CFX_AIM_JAVA also provides a logging capability for audit and debug purposes.

Secure - The connection from your ColdFusion server to Authorize.Net's gateway server uses HTTPS and a digital signature technology. CFX_AIM_JAVA provides a direct connection between the merchant's web server and Authoriz.Net's gateway server. Therefore, there is no opportunity for your data integrity to be compromised by a middleman provider. The security of your solution remains entirely in the hands of the ColdFusion programmer and Authorize.Net.

6). How does CFX_AIM_JAVA secure credit card transactions?

CFX_AIM uses HTTPS and digital signature technology. to encrypt data flowing between the ColdFusion server and Authhorize.Net's server. The HTTPS protocol is a security protocol that provides communications privacy over the Internet. This protocol allows client/server applications to communicate in a way that is designed to prevent eavesdropping, tampering, or message forgery.
